It's the long weekend due to Hari Raya!
I'm gonna post this first cos this is basically a eat and eat vacation. If I leave it on queue, most probably, I'll forget the details soon. Furthermore, I dint take much photos.
Anw, we took almost 4 hours to reach KSL! Zzz. That’s why I hate taking public transport in to JB! Anw upon arrival, we were super hungry and went to look for food straight since it was already past noon. The first thing we bought is a set from Auntie Anne’s cost rm9.20 iirc for a drink and 2 specialty pretzels. Then we walked around and they were super hungry and settled at this place for lunch. They got 2 prawn mee and 1 laksa which don’t look appetizing at all so I dint get anything. Only shared a fried tofu to share. Lucky I dint eat any mains or it will waste space in my stomach! The liao were just fish cakes and shredded chicken (cos it’s halal) so I dint order anything.
After eating that, we walked to the other side of the same level and we saw this restaurant selling XLB! I was tempted to eat that cos I watched flower grandpa eating at DTF at Taipei on thurs! And the restaurant beside that selling Taiwanese food as well. Oh man I was so delighted that there’re many Taiwanese restaurants! That sells pork! Hehe.
Walking further down, we walked past this Taiwanese dessert place! So went in to have some desserts. I had this signature dessert, with grass jelly and the jiu fen famous yam balls while my parents had the seasonal durian desserts. I strictly limit them to clean their spoon before scooping into my desserts haha.

Signature Jiu Fen Taro Balls
After desserts, we spotted a small counter at the corner selling hotdog with mash potato! But I was too full from the taro balls. So we walked around first before coming back for this. I think we came back for this in 30 mins? This trip was more like a food hunting trip.
After that, we proceed to the hotel for check-in.
Once check in, must play Fifa -.-
Then we left the room and go explore around KSL! Had drinks from Ding Tea which is much cheaper than in Spore! RM5.90 each for Large size!
The Heirs~~
While walking around I was contemplating whether to watch transformers anot but decided against it cos I was too lazy and afraid that I may fall aslp inside haha. And there are so many push carts stores selling iphone and Samsung accessories! Soo many!! But none for LG. DAMN I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN EVERYTHING IN KOREA N NOT WRY ABT THE DIFFERENCE IN MODEL NUMBER :@
Ok so the piggy us, my bro and I had our mash potato with sausage, my parents went to LG for their penang laksa I don’t rly like assam so I gave it a miss. I actually don’t rly like msian food but I like eating non local food in msia cos everything is half the price haha.
So after this we went shopping for a while. TFS and Etude House are around the same price as in Singapore. I believe Tony Moly as well.. but I haven been to TM outlet in Singapore. But I find that Skinfood is a lot cheaper than in spore! Spore skin food is rly quite exp. While shopping, I got myself a pair of wedges haha dint intend to get anything actually. Since I just got back from Korea and going to BKK in Nov. Teehee.
One of the sales girl recommended this fried pork intestine porridge and roasted meat stall at one of the shop houses a short walk out in the direction of holiday plaza. So we head planned to head there for supper.
We head to D Shanghai where we saw XLB in the afternoon for dinner round 1. We had 7 dishes of dimsum and tea and cost only about rm57! Only about sgd23! Each long was only about rm4.20! same price in spore but different currency. YUMS!
We went to walk around Tesco, attempting to burn some calories! And I met one of my Giv colleagues! Small world huh! I met another one at city square the following day!
After that, we’re on our way to for roast meat! The walk there isn’t complicated. Just exit from KFC, turn to the left, walked uphill. At the t junction, turn to the right and walked all the way. The shop is just beside a pharmacy before a 7-11 signboard. (please note that the 7-11 is not there anymore but another convenience store) We ordered 2 bowls of porridge and a big plate of roast meat, char siew and chicken to share. Cost rm28, about sgd11? Each bowl of porridge would have easily cost sgd5 at coffee shop in spore. After this, I wanted to get cake actually but was too full so just had some fruits and walk around before heading back to hotel.
Caught Fireworks on the way out to find roast meat!
KSL resort from the roast meat place.
There's this store selling exotic pets! I dint notice that was snake cos it dint move initially!
Next morning, we had breakfast at TCB&TL. I paid using Citibank card so entitled to 15% discount. 2 morning sets cost only about rm26! We dint wanna eat too full as we want eat other things haha.
After breakfast, we walked around and bought the cakes I wanted ytd back to hotel to eat before checking out! I had tiramisu while my parents had durian cheese. It’s a store selling homemade cheese cake just opposite of KFC!
Tiramisu and Durian Cheese!
After checking out, it was another round of walk and eat. We had lunch at the Taiwanese style restaurant KERENLAI, just beside D Shanghai. I dint like the chicken wine dish. Hakka style and I find it too sweet, feels alittle weird. Bro’s pepper chicken was ok, the abacus yam was good, so was the fried pork! The tofu chili is nice too! But quite spicy. The spiciness kicks in later and stays there for a while. (but nth beats the Jaw Tteokbokki! *sweat*)
The Hakka style Chicken.
Yam abacus, Fried pork slices and tofu!
Siew Mai and Chicken Leg.
We then left KSL to city square. Mainly to get pastries back to spore. We stopped by a tw eatery again for desserts and mian xian and lu rou fan. (ya it feels more lk TW food trip haha but im not complaining!) but bro dint like the food so we went for another round at secret recipe. He had F&C and I had satay and shared honey lemonade. The satay was so meaty! I wasn’t hungry to begin with cos I had the LRF alr!
Taiwan food.
Ok I think that’s all that we ate haha. I think? Hope I din tmiss out anything. I still have about 10 days left of Korea travelogue and river safari to go! Im planning to do a review for the Korea trip as well, what went well and what did not so as to facilitate the planning of the next trip! I shall aim to finish all these by Nov before going to BKK! 4 mths left!
