Day 7 was the day we moved to Seoul!
We had booked the KTX train tickets in advance, which departs at 950am. So we packed up and left the hotel before 9am. Heavy luggage. ><
Luckily it was only a station away. But the lack of escalator must be the reason why I Iost weight even though I’m on vacation! Upon reaching the Busan station, we promptly exchanged for the tickets using our online reservation number. Then we went to look for food! We decided to settle for Lotteria! We tabaoed it to eat on the train.
Busan Station!
The train seats are quite comfy! We had the donuts we bought from Krispy Kreme the day before and our Lotteria for lunch! There was Wifi on the train too! The 2h 45m pass why quite fast I dint even manage to take a nap!
Upon reaching soon, we saw an old military liked train!
Once we reach Seoul station, we promptly made our way to the apartment. It is centrally located only about 5 mins walk away from exit 4 of the Arex line! We met Jay, our apartment host who was still cleaning the apartment. We left our luggage there and he recommended us to visit N Seoul Tower at night. Initially, I planned to visit in the evening before going to Myeongdong. But he recommend night as the lightings at night would be nicer and we had already visited Busan Tower in the day. So we decided to set off to Myeongdong first!
So we trained from Seoul station to Myeongdong which is just 2 stops away! Rly convenient! I’ll definitely stay near Seoul station again my next visit.
Strangely, I dint rly buy a lot of cosmetics at Myeongdong, possibly as I already bought a lot from Jeju and Busan. But, there are rly a lot of Chinese tourists who buy a lot! And they tend to give free samples with purchase. Not all do but some of them. I collected some of them but yet to use as of yet haha. Some I don’t even know how to use them. I had to google it and write it down.
My main purpose for coming Myeongdong was SPAO and K-Story! Bro bought a bag from SPAO. Sadly, Everysing closed. :(
And finally, K- Story~! It was empty when I came. The waiter has quite an attitude.:( I went to look around the merchandise and the display of WGM global and he asked me not to touch. When we ordered drinks, he asked how long we’re going to stay. Which waiter ask customers that?! But once the lady boss (HeeChul-ssi’s noona) came, he became so friendly -.- tsk. But anw, I’m just happy I came to where WGM went to! Teehee!
Heepuff couple!
So besides cosmetics and Bro’s SPAO bag, I don’t think we bought anything from there. We went to try Yoogane, the Korean Chain which recently opened an outlet in Spore! Most tourists have this when they come to Korea
But this was too spicy for Bro, so he dint have much and went for round 2 at Lotteria.
We left Myeongdong shortly, I think we only spent around 2 to 3 hours there? But many people spend so much time there idk why. The shops are similar to what we see at Jeju and Busan shopping streets too. Just that the cosmetics shops has mostly Chinese BA but there’s at least one in every shop I went in Jeju and Busan too. I rather them being locals and I can browse by myself.
We boarded the bus to N Seoul Tower. The waiting time for the bus is rather long. L And quite crowded. After alighting, there’s a rather steep walk up the hill to reach the base of N Seoul Tower. Photo time!
While walking up the steep steep slope to N Seoul Tower!
From the base of N Seoul Tower!
The love locks!
<3 bench!
Our lock!
Dong the keys into the letter box! Annyeong!
The queue for the N Seoul Tower is quite long so we went straight to the entrance. Turns out they have another counter inside without queue haha! That’s where Running Man was! Where they hid in the Photo Machine haha.
The lift that brings us up is quite cool! We're told to look up and it shows us moving up, out of space! But the usher spoke in Korean so maybe there were more information just lost in translation.
And finally up!
I believe this is Seoul Fortress!
Theres love bricks there too!
Finally, we're done!
While walking back to the foot of the slope where the bus stop is.. The lights cast beautiful shadows on the ground!
While waiting for the bus!
And that marks the end of our day 1 in Seoul! More to come!
