And finally, the last day! Woke up early to have breakfast at lobby and then leave via taxi!
OOTD for CTC!
So after breakfast, we went to the main road and the security guard of Shibuya 19 got a cab for us again haha. Cab fare was only less than 200thb iirc. Cheaper than us taking trains and we would have to walk so far to the train station. Lucky us, the weather was nice in the morning. CTC is rly super big and hard to go back to where we came from! So if you want to get anything, just get it. Dont even think of coming back to the stall for it later on. You'll most probably be unable to locate the same stall again.
Sunny and hot CTC.
At the beginning of the day.
Started walking around and found my coconut ice cream! There are actually a lot of stalls selling that haha.
The first one we had, we chose peanut and glutinous rice as toppings.
Street food to keep us continuing under the hot sun. Garlic toast on stick!
The rest of it is mainly shopping! The weather was quite ok till noon when it got rly hot! So we keep going into shops which are air conditioned haha. And pretended to be looking at the stuff haha. We chanced upon this eatery selling chicken and duck noodle which I read its quite good so we settled our lunch there! I dint look for it on purpose, knowing how difficult it is to look for specific place there. But I just happened to pass by haha.
It is actually quite good but slightly salty. But it’s very affordable!
And after lunch, shopping resumes! No photos cos its mainly shopping! It started raining for a while but we just went into the sheltered area and the rain stopped after a while. Then we walked towards where there were many food stalls for some snacks. And there’s where I got the matcha flavoured pocky! Only bought one though. It’s actually readily available in Singapore actually haha. Not too much more exp. No point bringing it back.
We had the coconut ice cream I think twice? Haha. And the packet coffee! Lucky we brought many bottles of water out to CTC but still we finished it before we went back. We left CTC at about 3 plus 4 and cabbed back. Again, cab fare was about 200thb.
Our second serving of coconut ice cream!
My matcha flavoured pocky!
Back at hotel, we did some last min packing at the lobby to keep our haul from CTC then head out to walk around before dinner. We chanced upon this stall making personalized passport covers n everyone made one except me! (I was trying to be practical since mine is rather new from Korea!) we placed our orders and came back about 1.5 hours ltr to collect on the way to the airport express. We then went to the restaurant opposite our hotel for dinner. Simple Thai style dinner, fried rice and tom yum. Simple but yet delicious and cheap! Oh how I miss cheap Thai food back here in Singapore!
Calamari
After dinner then we lug our luggage and made our way to the airport express, passing by the stall to collect their passport covers! It was a long long walk with the luggage. T_T but nevertheless we made it haha.
The trip back to airport was long and crowded! But I decided to take train cos im afraid of the jam otw to airport. If not, cab might be more worth it, considering the effort haha.
Our baggage.
Their passport covers!
Expenses of our BKK trip
Booked the air tickets via Air Asia during sales. 4 tickets at $570, including 40kg baggage. Actually don’t need to buy so much but just being Kiasu haha. Travel insurance was slightly less than $100 ( I cant rly rmb the price..)
Booked the hotel much later. Small boutique hotel at prime location, through Agoda insider deal and some Wednesday Visa promotion which entitles me to 12% off using Visa Signature Credit Card. I paid around $632 I think.
Dream World tickets for 4: $125
Half day tour for 4: $104
Total expenses: ~$530
Total cost for 4 pax to BKK 5D4N ~SGD2100. That's only $525 per pax!
