Birthday Afternoon High Tea at Fullerton Bay Hotel

I got a year older again *sobs.

This year, piggy took 2 days off with to celebrate my birthday. It's just a normal birthday though, nothing special.

So on the Monday afternoon after my birthday, piggy made a reservation for Afternoon High Tea at Fullerton Bay Hotel at The Landing Point.

The scenery from our seat at The Landing Point. It was hazy on that day sadly.

Bar counter at The Landing Point near our seat.

The piggy exploring the contents.. like a kid. Tsk tsk. Haha.

Finally this kid settled down. #happyboy88

View from my seat.

Starting with cappuccino and scone!

The piggy taking photo of his raisin scone.

I like scone with clotted cream! I usually find the strawberry jam (or whatever flavoured jam) too sweet that it covers the taste of the scone.

The buffet spread. Refillable. Piggy ungalm shot haha.

The top tier of smoke salmon, cucumber sandwich, tuna bun and lobster tart. (There was no introduction. I just assumed haha) We liked the lobster tart the most! I think we had 3 servings each! And I had second serving for the mini tuna bun.

Middle tier with sweets. Soft chocolate cake with raspberry, Chocolate pound cake (I think, I cant rly rmb well), Chocolate and sea salt caramel tart, Madeleine, Lemon Tart, Chocolate Eclair, Strawberry tart with chocolate cake base, and Canele. I've no idea what it was, I googled and finally found it's name haha. I dint quite like it and it was the only thing I did not finish.

What left an impression:
Soft chocolate cake with raspberry - the soft chocolate cake was good. Good balance of sweetness I feel!
Chocolate and sea salt caramel tart - It is not the typical "extremely heaty" kinda tart. The chocolate is not as thick and it doesn't make you feel very thirsty with the "I need to drink 1L of water to wash it down" kinda feeling. but yet still enjoyable. I would say, not as sinful? Haha. Ok maybe I'm just brainwashing/ consoling myself haha.
Lemon tart - the lemon curd was quite good! Good balance of sweet and sour! I've had lemon tarts which reminds me of Mama Lemon. -.- Not a nice feeling of reminding you of dish washing liquid while eating your dessert.

And finally the last tier, Egg mayo sandwich, mini quiche, Brie on Cracker, Ham and Cheese Crepe with Capsicum, Bagel with Prosciutto.

Peekaboo!

Still waiting...

Oi. Can eat already anot?? #grumpypiggy haha.

Overall, we feel that the Afternoon High Tea at Fullerton Bay Hotel.. is just not bad but nothing rly impressive. Nothing really left an impression. Maybe except the lobster tart. N oh! Coffee & tea are refillable. You can try unlimited types of TWG tea. Which makes it worthwhile I guess? Since TWG tea are expensive outside haha.
