Cultural day in Shanghai!

My counterpart recommended me to pay the Shanghai Museum a visit. So there I went!

First, was to grab lunch at Raffles City! You'll see all the SG brands there like Charles and Keith, Pedro, Bee Heng Hiang, BreadTalk, ToastBox etc.

And I had Fries with Nacho Cheese n Bacon Bits! How can I not have my potato!

And a big coup of Honey Lemon with Aloe!

Exploring around the familiar yet not so familiar Raffles City!

Raffles City from across the street.

Shanghai Museum! Sorry but my camera is too zoomed in and there's a limit how far back I can go for a shot.

Okay, so erm, the museum exhibits are all about Chinese History. Some paintings and jade cravings are pretty but some are just too artistic and historic for my appreciation. I've always not like history that much...

I actually spent almost 2 hours inside. Cos I was taking my time, knowing that I have alot of time to spare haha.

Dont ask me what those exhibits are haha. I dint read the description. There are English description, on the opposite side where the Chinese description is. So I dint have to squeeze with the locals haha.

I only took photos of what I feel looked prettier and could make sense haha.

I think this was what people in the past use to tell time! From the shadows.

Ding3 é¼Ž. Reminds me of Ding Tea haha. I only remember it as the thingy with 3 legs to put joss sticks.

The potteries are rly delicate and elegant looking! Reminds me of those ornament items in those chaebol houses. Haha #toomuchkoreandrama

Reminds me of Mee Toh Hall. Haha.

Stamp made of jade!

It may be just a stamp but the cravings are still delicate!

The smaller ones actually reminds me of Korean Dramas. Hahaha. Cos in dramas, they still use stamps to authorize in documents.

Ancient Chinese caligraphy.

Attempt at some act-artistic-photography. But failed haha.

#toomuchreflections

Aborigine minority group common form of transport.

Jade again! I think Jade was the most interesting exhibits already haha. Cos at least I could tell what it was. But the lightings are just.. bad for phototaking :(

The Quails actually look rly round and cute! Sorry for the bad lighting :(

This is so beautiful! There was no colour like in paintings but just so pretty~

This was how the King's study room looks like.

King's private meeting room.

Queen's seat, I think?

Ancient coins. There was a big section on the evolution of coin/ notes. But #toolongdidntread and the coins actually looks similar haha.

After the Museum, I went to window shop at the underground shopping area! Just a long stretch of shops along the linkway. People's square is such a big station! I rmb Raffles City was like exit 15 or 16?

Decided to settle dinner at a cafe which sells TW and KR food. Had Yuzu tea and Pork Bulgogi rice.

Walking along Nanjing Road again haha.

Le Meriden! Where my parents stayed at when they visited SH. BreadTalk and ToastBox is everywhere actually.

Mind Bridge. Piggy love it so much after buying tops from there in Korea! The models endorsing Mind Bridge then was Park Shin Hye and Park Hae Jin. Hwi Kyung uh! Hahah I loved his character so much in You who come from the Stars. Then, My Daughter Seo Young and Doctor Stranger haha.

There's a big M&M store! Rly all sorts of M&Ms products.

Super long q for bbq squid. Looks dry and chewy and not very fragrant.

Nan Xiang XLB. Franchise of the long q XLB at Yuyuan. 8 XLB for 25RMB iirc.

Is it rly that nice? Well, I had 8 XLb all by myself. It was so ni4 that I was just stuffing it down. Plus I was not hungry to begin with. Nothing to rly shout about I feel. I prefer my DTF XLB anytime haha.

Just explored around Nanjing Road abit more before heading back to German Centre! The buildings along Nanjing Road are rly nice actually! Like the ZARA store!
