We entered the Seoul Station from the other side this time where the food court and Lotteria is! Never know about the existence last time, not sure if it's new.
This is new for sure haha.
Piggy took a closer look at the marble table.
Some sales going on!
We had some time, so we chilled a while in Lotte Mall. Spot the guys coming down from level 2!
Then we went off to catch the bus to the Cheong Wa Dae tour meeting place!
The bus stop where we took bus from. No shelter just a bus stop stand haha.
Is such small green village bus.
Took 4 stops and alighted. Just cross the road and we're at the East Gate Parking Lot of Gyeongbokgoong, which is the meeting place for the tour.
The meeting place. But we were pretty early, about 20 mins before the meeting time.
So we went to Gyeongbokgung to take a look though it wasn't in our plan! There were many people dressed in Hanbok, which gives them free entry to the palace! Else, entrance is 3000krw.
Every tour group will include this palace in their itinerary as it is like the main palace in Seoul. Which also explains why it is perpetually crowded. Since we had visited in our last trip, we decided not skip this.
But we were in luck! They had the change of guard ceremony then! It is scheduled at 2pm daily, except Tuesday. And we were there at about 210pm.
Best part was that, it is outside the entrance of the palace so we got to watch it without paying for the admission haha!
Though it was just some marching, at least we got to see it in action without having to wait for it hehe.
Took some photos at the entrance after the ceremony!
And finally, it was time to register for the Cheong Wa Dae tour! We had visited 3 yrs ago but Mum wanted to experience it too, having seen it so often in dramas lol! Plus it's free!
It was a super crowded day as it was apparently Grandparents day! They said that there were about 800+ visitors that day! And a super hot day too!
Could only take photos at the same few points.
Compare before after photos? Haha. But I too lazy to find the photos to do so hehe.
The iconic turquoise roof.
So galbi :(
Too crowded for photos. But this family is epic. Took like gazillions photo at the same point. Think they spent the entire 15 mins snapping photos NON STOP. Till I gave up waiting for them and moved to another spot where others finished taking photos.
BCX fetish lol.
And yes, after we finished taking photos, that family is STILL taking photos omg.
Moving on to the last point in CWD!
And we ended the CWD tour here! We went the last point which is optional last trip but there wasn't anything much plus the end point is not as convenient. Hence, we decided to end the tour here and left for Tong In Market and Tosokchon!
