Victoria Trip Aug 2018 Day 2 Part 1 ~ Apollo Bay Bakery, Shelly Beach, Maits Rest Rainforest, Cape Otway Lightstation

Day 2 starts bright and early at 6am! (but not bright yet)  Recalled it was raining the night before and was still drizzling in the morning when we left so it was rly quite cold.
A must try - Apollo Bay Bakery!


Where we got our breakfast for the next day.







We had 2 scallop pies, one original and one curry i think.






And ham and cheese toastie!



After a filling breakfast, we set off to the first stop!
First stop of the day was Shelly Beach.



Though it was just less than 1km away, we only walked a short distance and turned back. We couldnt hear any water noises and was too cold and muddy to walk down.


So we left for our second stop - Maits Rest Rainforest




















We left for the next stop. Some photos on the way.









Cape Otway Lightstation. When we arrived, it was raining pretty heavily, so we had to wait in the car. We managed to snooze a while whist waiting for the rain to stop.




















Then it started raining again...

We took shelter at the cafe and tried their famous scones!
















Their scones like light n fluffy, unlike the heavy and dense American version.

When the sky finally cleared up more, we left for our next stop which I will continue in the next post. Meanwhile, some photos on the way!
