Italy Trip 2024 Day 1 Part 1 ~ Flight to Rome, Spanish Steps, Via dei Condotti, Lunch at Babette

Been excited about this trip and initially meant to be a babymoon. But I guess it all time out well and Gelato was just starting to churn then.

Had our supposedly light dinner at home before heading to the airport since our flight was pretty late. Had our usual supper at the lounge. First time spotting Hokkien Mee so we got greedy and ordered one each but wasn't that great.

So we added on our usual Laksa!

As usual, we spent a little too long at the lounge and was rushing to the gate. Flight took off and we're served our second supper of the night.

Salmon salad, which I recalled having just some salmon and egg.

Since supper service doesn't include satay, I decided to order my own. But as I was still full, I could only finish 3 sticks.

Turkey ordered laksa so he had 2 laksa for supper lol.

Desserts was my favourite pairing of chocolate and hazelnut, but I was so full, I passed on. Can't imagine passing on a chocolate hazelnut cake!

After supper, I took melatonin to help me sleep and managed to take a nap before waking up for breakie!

My order of Mee Siam which was not bad! But was too full to finish. Always ended up too full from all the nom on the flight.

Turkey enjoyed his Thai porridge for breakie.

One of the few times I disembark from plane like this lol. We were shuttled by bus back to the terminal.

After clearing the customs, we queued for a cab to bring us to our hotel at Spanish Steps. Couldn't forget how annoying the Indian lady queuing behind me was, who stood so close to me and kept asking stupid questions -.-

Anw, after we checked into the hotel, as our room wasn't ready, we set off to explore the streets first before circling back to the room.

Walked towards where AP was and visited this AP boutique. We were expecting them to have more pieces on display but surprised that SG has more and newer models!
