Drove back to Ljubljana to return car and to take train to Bad Gastein, Austria!
We had some time to spare so we left our luggage at the train station and walked around Ljubljana to past time.
Food market stall that was really popular!
Their menu.
Gave that a pass for Cacao ice cream!
An acai~
And finally, we headed back to the train station to catch our train to Bad Gastein.
Turkey chilling out.
Something epic happened and quite an experience. We couldn't alight from the right stop (Bad Gastein) as the train door where we were at refuse to open. And when we pressed the emergency button to open it, it just kept ringing and the train departed, with the emergency alarm continuing to the next stop.
So we ended up missing the shuttle to the hotel and was stranded at the next stop - Bad Hof Gastein.
We desperately called a cab there from the advertisement pasted around as there was no one else there. The cab came after quite a wait and took us back to the hotel. Phew.
Bad Hof Gastein station - nightmare.
Upon arrival, we left our stuff in the room. Bad lighting as it was rly dark with not much light.
But then at night the moon was so bright it shone through the curtains, I had trouble falling aslp :(
And we went down for dinner after a long long day.
Salad to start.
Starter of tagliatelle - so Hell's kitchen style to start with a pasta dish lol.
Here's a pic of next day's dinner menu lol.
Mains of Cod fish and roll of pork.
We wanted to have the bottle of red wine we brought for dinner, but they wont able to (some corkage surcharge or smth?) so the bartender offered us some complimentary cocktail! Such a nice touch.
Ending off with ice cream.
After dinner, we explored the indoors facilities a little since the weather was too cold for a soak at night. We attempted to play some table tennis again to burn off the calories from dinner but retired back to the room shortly as I recalled the space was quite tight lol.
And I somehow recalled watching Hell's Kitchen after that in the room! That's all for the tiring day 16!
