Korea Trip Jun 2014 - Day 2

Second day is again another long day. The last 2 attractions was actually planned on day 3 but since we ended sight seeing early on day 2, we decided to just complete our sight seeing in Jeju and have a relaxing day 3 before flying to Busan.

This is going to be another photo heavy post as Jeju is mainly for sight seeing.

We set off pretty early and reach Gimnyeong Maze at about 9. Bought some light snacks (2 corn dogs IIRC) and started sight seeing!

Admission fees: 3300 krw

Before entering the maze!

Top view.

And we started getting lost in the maze!

Success! We took about 20 mins to get to the bell.

 Ring ring!

To be honest, I dint rly enjoy this maze. Cos there are many strange looking insects (huge spiders, shiny armoured bugs), I was busy looking at the ground looking out for the bugs rather than the maze itself. I just wanna get out of the maze. LOL. I think next time I'll go the the Maze land that RM went instead.

Next stop, Manjanggul Lava Cave. Before we enter the lava cave, we settled our lunch at the restaurant there. We had 2 kimbap and mandoo. And the other group at the restaurant were Singaporeans too!

Admission fees: 2000krw

Before entering, I was warning them that it's gonna be cold inside. And they're like "how cold can it be?" But once we enter the cave, while walking down the stairs to the cave, we could feel the coldness already. It's rly cold and water dripping everywhere. Please rmb to bring poncho when you go there!

We actually took quite a few photos. But the lightings dint turn out well and we're shivering inside so the photos dint turn out nice. Also, the walk was quite long!

Next stop, Seopjikoji! Running Man had been here and that's why we're here! We wanted to visit the All in House as well but it was undergoing renovation sadly. It was quite a long walk up but luckily the weather was cooling and windy. Many Chinese tourists though. And I do mean many, like A LOT.

Ok, photo spam time! :D

Many shops before the hike up.

 Lalang field!

The lighthouse looked so far away we were too lazy to climb haha.

Next stop was Songeup Folk Village! Again, many Chinese tourists. The Chinese tour guide will explain the traditional lifestyle in details. So we just walk around and took some photos and left. I think Jeju Folk Village should be a better Folk Village to visit.

Busy eating the SkyFlakes we brought in case we're hungry. I desperately wanted to finish it so we dont have to bring it around.

We left the Folk Village shortly and head to Trick Art Museum!

Luckily, there was only another tour group at that time and they're a Singaporean tour group. So we just let them go first and soon they left and we're the only ones left. How awesome!

Admission fees: 8000krw. We had a 15% off discount (iirc) from our hotel.

 Photo spam time!

We spent more than an hour in here. All the other tour groups stayed for about 30 mins and left. Perks of going for F& E trips! :D

By then I was super hungry! As we dint have proper lunch. Survived on Kimbab and Mandoo. So I keyed in Dunkin Donuts into the GPS and it led us to a city area with many shops where we chanced upon Jaws Food and bro fell in love with their Odeng!

Our food finally! Bro loves their muffin, too bad they dont have it in Spore!

The Tteokbokki thats so spicy. And sadly this is the only tteokbokki we had throughout the trip ):

The odeng that my bro fell in love with haha.

So after shopping around, we decided to finish our sightseeing for Jeju and nua on the last day.
So, next stop, dragon head rock!

Photo taken by a China tourist. There were SOOO many of them. Probably 99% of the people there were Chinese.

And final stop, Dongmun Market! Following the foot steps of Running man haha.

Bought these chocolates from Jeju as souvenirs!

The rest of the market are just selling meat, seafood and fruits. We wanted to get fruits but they sell in big quantities and we're leaving Jeju the following day. So we ended up not getting anything ):
And we explored around the Jungang underground shopping and nearby area. First Daiso spotted.
And then Isaac Toast! Read it on several blogs that they serve nice toast. How can we miss this then!

And we're done with Jeju sight seeing! Before heading back to hotel, we walked around the streets just behind Hotel W. Awesome location isnt it!

You can see Hotel W just there!
Huge Crabs.
And lastly, photos of the car!

With the driver!

Ok, now I rly appreciate all the effort bloggers put into their travelogue! So many photos!! And so much inertia to post. Cos there're just too many days haha. But I miss Korea already!!
