This was my most last minute trip ever! As I'm someone who likes to do very thorough planning before the trip, this trip was rly last minute. I think I booked the coach tickets and hotel just 5 days before the trip. Cheap thrill haha.
So again, I went to work as usual on Fri in the day since we're taking a night coach which departs at 11pm. This helps us to save one night accomodation (haha cheapo me) plus we get to maximise the time we've in KL! The bus was super spacious, especially for my short legs haha.
While waiting for departure! Bare faced me.
Parents sitting behind us.
Closer look at the leg space. Super spacious right!
I slp more this time round! The last time I barely had any sleep and almost died upon reaching haha. I was watching drama on my phone while travelling and I managed to spot Sapphire site when passing by! Haha. We cleared the customs pretty fast (We were the only coach at that time I think) and reach KL at 5am. #yawns Upon reaching, we walked towards Ancasa Hotel to use the wash room and nap at their lobby (ya we’re super thick skin, we don’t even stay there!)
We were asked to wake up at 630am as their café starts operating and hotel guests will be around. But still, they were super nice to not drive us away till then!
We then slowly made our way to Petaling street for breakfast. We reached around 7am and the street was already filled with food stalls ready to serve breakfast!
We settled down at the same stall we visited last time for porridge and chee cheong fan! And we ordered roast duck from a nearby stall too!
Our hearty breakfast!
After that we slowly roam around Petaling street. I got an egg tart from a nearby coffee shop teehee. And we went to 7-11 to have our daily coffee fix. And nua a while there using their free wifi.
We then made our way our hotel, Park Royal! We walked past Tous Les Jours first! It looked rly pretty! What a pity we dint try this in Korea! But we were still full from breakfast so we decided to just scout and come back the next day.
We reached Park Royal at about 9 plus and they kindly offered me a room! So happy! We went back to the room to nap till almost 11 and then to visit Times Square which is just located diagonally opposite Park Royal! Park Royal is my favourite hotel in KL. Comfy double beds hehe.
View from the hotel room!
So we left the hotel at about 11 after a short nap to start shopping!
At the hotel lobby!
We went straight for lunch! I wanted to have lunch at Kenny Rogers as it’s much cheaper there than in Singapore. We ordered 2 sets for 3 pax in total.
After round 1 lunch from Kenny Rogers, we walked around and decided to have round 2 at Pontian! No photo of the wanton noodles. But the dessert was good and refreshing!
And then the shopping begins at Times Square! However, I dint buy much. Like rly not much! I only bought 2 pieces in total this trip! Since I’m already going to BKK in a month’s time, I decided to just “save” and buy in BKK haha. So this is mainly an eating trip! Like a 美食团. Haha. Tour guide: The piggy me. :)
We started shopping from the top floor and slowly made our way to the lower floors. There’s a little Taiwan at level 3. We had snowflake and tako there! Their tako is nice! Not the typical dark brown sauce but equally tasty
You can see the indoor theme park from the little Taipei. (Speaking of which I just bought air tickets to Taipei ytd! WHEE~!)
The Bar B Q Plaza. Originated from Thailand. We did not try it here but we did in BKK!
Notice before and after. The piggy changed haha.
The Taiwan styled drinks and tako!
We actually planned to head to some carpark for some cheap street food (cheaper version of jln alor) but it started pouring. So we decided to head to Pavilion for Ichiban!
Pavilion from outside.
Daddy and mummy with the fountain. But it was raining..
Atas interior of Pavilion.
At Ichiban. Bro's favourite.
Bro with his fav tamago sushi!
It’s so much cheaper there! The sushi are RM2 and 4 (Singapore at S$2.40 and S$4.20!). So much cheaper! We had so much food but only slightly more than RM100! I was charged about SGD42! What's more, I can still accumulate the stamps there! RM30 for one stamp. Super worth it! We were so full from dinner! #dyingfromfullness
Happy boy 99.
We had to explore around to digest our dinner. TWG is there too!
We wanted to go to Parkson where my dad always get his work pants. Right at Parkson’s door step, dad asked, where got Parkson here! #ROFL cos the Parkson looks different from what we usually see. The atas version. Haha.
But just imagine someone asking "HERE WHERE GOT PARKSON?" with the "why you bluff me" look when he's standing right in front of it. With the words "PARKSON" above staring at him HAHA.
Night view from Pavilion.
On the way back to hotel, we passed by Tous les Jours again!
Back at hotel. Suddenly, we heard fireworks! And just nice we can see it from our hotel room through a gap! So awesome! haha.
Thats all for day 1!
Looks like you spent most of day 1 eating! I lost count of the number of times you were eating on this day already hahaha
