We decided to have dinner at The Knuckles last Sat. We randomly walked past it once after dinner at Bread Table.
Simple and cosy settings.
We shared the German Pork Knuckle ($10) that came with mash potato and pickled veg. The portion looked small but it's rather filling! And bro loves the crispy skin. The pork knuckle was tender and well flavoured too.
We also had a pork streak ($8) which I somehow lost the photo :( The pork streak was tender too! Well balance with the fat and lean parts.
We had Iced Mocha too. It wasn't too diluted even after all the ice melted. Pretty good balance between the coffee and chocolate taste I feel! And it's rly the most affordable Iced Mocha I've seen! Just $4 for a rather big glass!
Before mixing.
After mixing. It's not diluted though the colour looks light.
Oh yes, The Knuckles serves ice water too! Making it rly an affordable place for dinner haha. Esp if you're too lazy to queue for food next door. ;)
Next we went to Hatter Street for desserts! We walked past it otw to The Knuckles and it was only half full. But when we came back it was full.
It's like Alice in the Wonderland Themed cosy cafe.
The uncle who we thought might be the boss of Hatter Street.
The selection of cakes and pastries that day. I believe the selection differs depending on the day you're there!
We got the coffee waffle! ($8.90) Comes with Espresso caramel sauce and coffee ice cream. The waffle is rly good! I get sick of waffles rather quickly and the usual Gelare waffle with ice cream to me is just meh.. But this is rly good. And both the sauce and coffee are of the right sweetness. Definitely come back for more waffles!
They serve water too!
I also got Coffee Cheese Cake and Matcha Devil back to share with my parents!
The Coffee Cheese Cake was dense, but lacking the coffee fragrance? If I dint know it's coffee flavoured, I probably wont guess it. It tasted more like peanut butter, though there was no peanut fragrance too.
However, the Matcha Devil was rather good. I like the Matcha flavour and the pairing with the soft chiffon base.
I shall just keep to waffles at Hatter Street next time!
