So it was a long weekend in Shanghai due to Qing Ming. Hence, I decided to head to Hangzhou for a one day tour! Made the booking online and paid on the day itself. Boarded the coach at QiFu station, ear People Square at 630 am. SOOOO early. T_T
It was a longgg 5 hours ride to Hangzhou, partially due to the rain and that it's a long weekend. 5 hours ride.. I could have flown home! Btw, it was raining the entire day. 清明时节雨纷纷.. How true.
The first place we went was Xi Hu. Supposedly a super nice and pretty lake.
We boarded the boat like this!
There are many bridges along the whole lake. But the famous one is Duan Qiao. Which we could only see it from afar from the boat.
These 3 structures forming a triangle shape. Forgot what it's used for. But it's on one of the yuan notes. (It's on the back of the 1rmb note)
A pagoda which has a story to it. That I cant rmb haha. About some vixen being locked inside or smth?
After the boat ride, we went to the garden within the same compound.
The rock which everyone wants to take photo with. I took this in a millisecond when it was free of people.
Feeding the fishes.
Heh, theres a Jiang's village!
I like quiet places like this. Especially in China. There's absolutely no queue system, no 'excuse me', everything was just push and shove.
Cherry Blossom!
Then, we were brought to some place to buy silk -.- Wasn't part of the itinerary but ya.. It's China.
And another place to buy Long Jing tea.
The tea place was well decorated and atas. I'm sure they are making alot of money from the tea!
The last stop was Xi Xi Shi Di.
The whole day was just foggy. With drizzle.
Okay, to be honest, the photos are almost the same. Throughout the 30 mins ride, just alot of trees/ shrubs with some structures.
Finally on land.
Soooo many people.
They have alot of family history. This is for the Hongs. There are actually description to the display, which I dint bother reading. Chinese one was too draining while the English one.. I can't rly understand. Did my Eng deteriorate when I was there or did they use Google Translate?
I prefer colourful things like this. Too much water and trees.
Supposed to be a horse. Like the one at the temple at Busan haha.
I prefer the quiet and away from crowd places like that haha.
Finally left Hangzhou back to Shanghai! The bus ride was long too! And they drop us at People's Sq and I walked to Raffles City for a late dinner. It was 9 plus then and was the last customer to order! Had Secret Recipe there!
Watermelon juice. I rmb it wasn't cheap!
Chicken chop, which I changed from rice to fries. But the chicken looks abit.. like leftover.. The presentation not very nice huh!
Ok so that marks the end of the Hangzou 1 day trip. I would say I'm not a nature lover so I dont rly like places that has tooooo many water (lakes/ ponds) and rocks, trees, shrubs. I thought that I've seen enough of those when I went Guilin lol! I still prefer city like Seoul and Taipei!
