Had buffet again for Dad's bday celebration! This year we celebrated very early due to my training in UK.
I'll be flying off to UK on 18th 1am! Technically 2 more days but will have to go to the airport tmr night. So by this time tmr I'm already in airport!
Time rly flies by. It felt like I was just back from Switzerland and now I'm going to UK for the second part of the training alr.
That being said, I hope I can finish something for me to post when I'm away!
Ok, so back to the buffet, I booked International Lunch Buffet at Element @ Amara. We arrived 10 mins before they started but the manager kindly let us in and allowed us to start the buffet.

We took our seat and I promptly went around to take photos of the food. Before anyone comes haha.
The bread station! Which I tried resisting but had 2 of the crispy crepe and 2 mouths of mushroom soup.
The Mee Siam station, which I resisted :O
And the roast, is actually Salmon haha. Bad lighting. It's pretty nice, cos I like Salmon! & the crispy skin~
The station by the side (which idk what's that for) and Hainanese Chicken rice! The chicken is good (y). Oh and my favourite dish is from here prepared ala minute, the Truffle oil infused mushrooms with Sous vide egg.

Fried rice, beef, roast chicken (that you see at almost every wedding dinner).
Braised Pork Belly with Black Fungus (YUMZ) and Dou Miao with Chinese Mushrooms.
The dessert station, where I fell off the LCHF wagon and went crazy with sugar :(
Far right was Cheng Tng (dint try, but dad did), Pulut Hitam ( took to share), then Gui Ling Gao and Mango Pudding which I dint try.
Then there were Carrot Cakes, Classic Chocolate Cheesecake and Double Chocolate Brownies.
From right, Mini Tartlets, Mango Panna Cotta, Berries Financier, Chempedak Creme Brulee, Blondie Cake, Tiramisu and Double Chocolate Cake.
Fruits, which changes as they deplete haha.
Cold Seafood. Not much selection. No crab legs, scallops :( Quite a disappointment. For once, I only had a little of the seafood and focus more on hot food.
Small selection of cheese. I used to not touch them at buffets, but now I learnt to appreciate them after Switzerland trip!

Sushi! There's also the Mentaiko Salmon Aburi sushi which wasn't out yet haha.
The pickles and the sashimi! There's Tamago, Salmon, Tako and Shrimp.
Oh and there's Prawn Tempura too haha.
Smoked Salmon and Duck were not bad. Peking Duck Crepe was just soso. very little duck meat actually.
First Sashimi plate. I asked for Salmon, Tamago and Shrimps. But no idea why the shrimp portion is so small lol. With the pickles that Mum likes.
Oh yes, I took the first 2 plates. But to share haha.

Carrot Cake was just average though generous with the walnuts, but the brownie was good!
The Double Chocolate Cake that BCX took and I had some. Dint find it thick enough for a double chocolate.
Pulut hitam which I took! To share! Not fantastic, abit too watery. Been a while since I had a good one :(
I took the Creme Brulee and Tartlet for myself as well but I dint the Creme Brulee too sweet and the Tartlet was a disappointment as it's filled with cream, not custard. :(
I took this for my desserts! Had another Chocolate Cheesecake, Brownie, Tiramisu after trying from Mum's plate and had the Blondie cake and Mango Panna Cotta.
Quite like the Blondie and Brownie and ended up taking 2 more of each. Carb and sugar overload :O
Then after the buffet (which we ate from 12 to 230pm!), I planned to visit the Alive Museum at Suntec to walk off the calories (But of cos the calories in for me far exceed the amount I burnt >< ) ! Booked the tickets online and get 50% off as they're closing late Apr.
Dropped by Tanjong Pagar Centre for a while before heading down.
