Korea Trip June 2017 Day 6 Part 3 ~ Tong In Market & Tosokchon | 통인시장 & 토속촌, Gwanghwamun & Cheonggyecheon | 동대문 & 청계천

So, after we left from the CWD tour, we proceed for early dinner! At Tosokchon and Tong In Market!

From where we ended the tour, I asked for directions from the police officers to make sure I'm walking in the right direction. I asked in Korean this time haha. Lesson learnt from the previous trip.

Directions to cross the road towards Gurinaru!

Tong In Market! Wanted to try the Dosirak cafe concept but we were too late and decided to go for Ginseng Chicken Soup first to beat the dinner crowd.

So we continued walking straight down towards Tosokchon! Pretty cafes along the way.

Looking at the cakes haha.

Mum kept saying want to take a photo of the truck load of garlic. But claimed that this isnt enough lol.
Anw, Tosokchon is just right ahead! Turn right at the GS25 ahead.

Tada! We were early so no queue!

We were served the Ginseng wine and Barley tea right away, even before we ordered.

The Kimchi and Radish.

We had 3 to share!

Blur photo of Ginseng wine otw out lol.

A random photo that BCX took haha.

Then we walked back to Tong In Market!

Tada! I rmb getting ice cream at the stall near the entrance, asking for directions to Tosokchon.

A look on what's for sale in traditional market! But as we're pretty late, many stalls were closed.

Mandu!

Seems like a famous stall! Selling stir fried rice cake!

Got a portion of the salty one to try. It's actually just stir fried in oil I think? Pretty nice but not that mind blowing haha. And pretty expensive at 3000 krw given a small portion from a traditional market.

BCX got attracted by this. Which mum says is more worth it than the rice cake lol.

Spotted my Ssiat Hotteok!

More expensive at 1500 krw as compared to in Busan. But just gotta have that haha.

BCX's chicken skewer!

Hoddeok made on the spot. He was kneading the dough before flattening it on the pan.

Mandu stall just opposite~

My Hotteok! It is the right kind finally~~

YUMMEH.

Exited from the other side of the market!

Cute little cafe that seems quite popular with signatures I supposed from celebs?

Jaws food! BCX's fav Odeng though we dint get to try it then.

BCX sad face cos too full to have his odeng? Haha.

Sejong Village Food Cultural Street (literal translation)

All signboards are in Korean, including CU!

Crossed over to Daiso to get some snacks! But sadly that outlet has very limited selection :(

Walked towards Gwanghwamun!

There was some exhibition, all the same face but different identity.

Waiting to take photos haha.

Finally our turn!

Wefie with Daddy!

Seoujjo~

The icon of Gwanghwamum! King Sejong.

Walked quite a distance down to take photo of the other icon, Admiral Yi Shun Shin!

Even the bench is so pretty! Carved with Hangul consonants.

Wanted to walk to the King Sejong story but went to the wrong one haha.

Finally!

Sadly, they were closing. I thought the last time we reached rather late too. Oh wells :(

At the YSS side! Wanted to watch the 4D show but not available due to the time :(
Turtle ship replica!

Daddy very into history!

We left the place shortly as they're closing. And walked to Cheonggyecheon!

Wefie agn!

Emo shot again lol.

Crossing haha.

And then we made our way back to the apartment! And spotted a Pojangmacha!

Must drop by Lotte Mart haha.

Spotted Jaws!

The soup wasn't as peppery somehow.

Our loot haha. Everyone buys this much in Lotte.

Dint bother to tape it up and just hug it back since it's just opposite! So convenient!

Finally back in our room for the next 6 nights!

Taken from the second floor.

The second flr!

Our luggages and the kitchen.

Bathroom. Bidet is like so common in Korea though I did not use it at all. Not a fan ahha.

Supper!

Finally tried pig's trotters in Korea! But still no one wants to eat with me :(

On sale fried chicken which wasn't nice. Think cos it's microwaved and makes the coating chewy.

Piggies enjoying their Cheese Pokki!

That's all for the first night in Seoul! Think subsequent night we go to Lotte Mart daily haha!
