Full day in Zagreb! Waking up to Hotel 9 breakfast~
His.
Mine.
Cooked to order scrambled eggs!
Ahem, mine again.
Pudding for dessert!
After breakfast, we took Tram No 7 to our first stop - Marsimir Park. We struggled to understand how the tickets work. We boarded and couldn't find where we can get tickets as no one bought tickets or showed/ tap their tickets on the reader. We ended up walking up to the bus driver to ask and paid her couple of stops after.
Tada! Entrance!
Maksimir Park is the oldest public park in Zagreb.
In fact, it is the first public park in southeast Europe and one of the first in the world - opened since 1794!
Exploring the park.
As we had quite a bit of time, we decided to visit the Zagreb Zoo which we typically skip when on holidays. Furthermore, the admission price was rather cheap - Usual price was 30HRK (SGD 6), and 20HRK on Mon (SGD 4) which we just so happened to be there on a Monday!
Recalled video calling my family for the first time during the trip cos my mum accidentally VC me and I called her back. Was quite fun walking around the zoo and showing them via videos.
Done with the zoo, and out in the park again.
It was around this point where piggy was trying to capture some nice photo of this building that we ran out of space on the camera and can't take any more photos. We scrambled to browse back the past photos and delete those badly taken ones.
To be continued in part 2!
