London Trip Mar 2017 Day 5 & 6 ~ Day 3 & 4 of training

We're back from our PWS in Korea! Am afraid that i look too round with all the weight i gained since the Aussie trip. Looking forward to the next holiday~

Onwards with day 3 and 4 of training!

As usual, start the day with breakfast plate!
Sunny side up, sauteed button mushrooms, back bacon and sausage!

I was actually feeling a little heaty and felt a sore throat coming, though i still had chocolates at night haha. So I asked for some lemon, and they were so generous to cut me like half a lemon! Self made lemon honey drink to sooth the throat!

More mushrooms, bacon, scrambled egg and toast!

As usual, we departed for office via the chartered van.
After a couple of hours of lecture, it was time for lunch. The buffet lunch, which again was made up of sandwiches, which to us is more of finger food?

Some meat pie.

Dessert table, of fruit cakes (which always reminds me of wedding) and scones!

My lunch plate.

I requested for soup as wanted something warm for my throat, rather than just cold sandwiches. Unfortunately, the soup of the day was some lentil soup... :(

Honestly, the lunch buffet was more of like prepackaged food, which we were very tired of by the second day.

After the training, we headed back to the hotel and some of them head out to have pizza in the Town Centre. Being not a fan of pizza, we decided to have dinner at Harvester again instead.

Free flow salad and bread with every mains ordered!

We got top up for an appetizer! Crackerjack Prawns, with Spiked Maple sauce.

I recalled this being some pork belly dish with Korean influence but cant seem to find it on the menu now. But it came with sweet potato fries which I like!

Close up on the portion of pork belly slices haha.

The set top up included a dessert, which Susan chose - Chocolate Fudge Cake. *ignores sore throat*

After having the heaty food, hot lemon water to the rescue!
Again, the kitchen is very generous with the lemon slices!

After a good night rest, it was the penultimate day of training!

Spam lemon again.

More mushrooms! And giving their soft boil egg another chance.

Chocolates > sore throat haha. Energy boost during training.

By day 3, everyone was complaining about the 'buffet' lunch of sandwiches, so we are back to the cafe for lunch!
Had the same grilled mackerel again with soup. I actually asked the chef the soup of the day before ordering haha. Lesson learnt. Anw, that was potato soup! So, instead of having with fries, I had it with potato soup.

With salad.

Tea break! Self improvised mocha by adding milk chocolate into hot coffee! LOL!

We had a team building event that evening! At Canterbury.
We played an escape room game for team building that evening. Phones weren't allowed so there was no photos! And team dinner post event~

The Ambrette. Apparently, very popular Indian food in that area.
Chris, our coach and the UK CI team.

Rose wine to start!

We were given the menu even before our trip to UK and asked to select our menu. Everything was very organised.

It was suppoesd to be a 3 course meal, but there were several dishes/ items served in between.

Amuse-Bouche -
Trio of vegetarian street food
Crispy poori, sweet potato and chick pea flour dumpling, steamed yogurt and vermicelli cake, tomato chutney.

The starter which I chose.

Smoked tomato chilli and lime crab cake
Foraged rock samphire

The slice of starfruit felt a little out of place lol. But close up of the crab cake!

A small serving of Focaccia with pickled green chili and pepper.

Served with a small cup of tomato soup i think! No idea why, but I noticed that Londoners/ Swiss/ French like to put their food directly on the table. Perhaps it's just the Asians who find it unhygienic?

My main dish. I cant rly recall what I ordered and just revisited the menu to guess what it might be.

Belly of British pork, seasonal vegetables, paprika fenugreek potatoes
Biryani rice, crackling, sauce of tomato and ginger.

Side of Broccoli and Cauliflower, quite heavily spiced.

Some berry Granita as pre-dessert to cleanse the palate.

Dessert of Chocolate tart, vanilla and brandy cream

Post dinner, we had a mini drinking session at the hotel cafe!
Pretty Natalia with Argentina wine!

Was offered a glass, when I actually came by to ask for more lemon water!

After the long day, finally got to rest and one more day of training to go!
