New Zealand Trip 2022 Day 3 Part 2 ~ Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway, Harvest

After the whale-watching experience, we decided to skip lunch since we had a very full breakfast and head to the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway.

At the start of the walkway, near the car park.

Snowcapped mountain despite the merciless sun.

Pretty strong waves.

Annyeong seal~

Just one loner seal sunbathing.

Seagulls.

More seals, and they're not afraid of humans lol.

You want to take photos of me? Here I come, pose for you. ;)

Climbed our way up there! We removed our jackets as we climbed lol.

Up and up we climb.

Just spamming more photos at every stop.

Reaching the South Bay where we had a short toilet break. There's also a water dispenser.

Heading back.

Walking a slightly different route this time.

Before leaving Kaikoura, we stopped by Kaikoura Lookout. A really easy lookout where you literally park the car below and walk up a short flight of stairs. Very suitable for lazy people haha.

We could easily spot where we spent the night since it is the tallest building!

Thereafter, we left Kaikoura for Marlborough! The drive took about 2 hr. We were initially early but something unpleasant came up on the way. Luckily we managed to make it to Harvest on time!

A really pretty vineyard and hotel.

The alfresco dining area looks great to dine for lunch!

Starting dinner with 2 glasses of wine (duh, we were at a winery!)

Trout dish, with some curry flavoured sauce. Yummy~

THis is beef but I can't remember the details. They serve a seasonal menu so it is not available online anymore. Should have taken photos of the menu!

Ending with peanut butter banana souffle!

After this, we checked in to our accommodation of the night - Anglesea B&B. We spent quite some time chatting with the host and ended up forgetting to take any photos of the room and lounge! But we did have a glass of wine while chatting. The whole house was nicely decorated in Victorian style.

Rested the night to get ready for the next day of action.
