New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 6 Part 1 ~ Hobbiton

Started day 6 with breakfast at 64 Coffee & Kitchen. We chose this cafe as we saw that they had donuts, but they did not have them that day, unfortunately. Squish was sad.
 



Beef and Cheddar Pie. 


Almond croissant.



Came to Matamata for this!





The most touristy attraction this trip.


Arrived early and visited the souvenir shop while waiting for our tour.








Finally, it's time and we hopped on the tour bus to the site. 




Crowded and cookie-cutter tour tbh. But will let the photos do the talking since that's what we were there for.










Chose to wear my puffy red jacket as it look nicer in photos!






































The only hobbit hole that we could get in to, and a queue to take photo of lol.












The tree that look so real but is actually fake.



Abandoned my jacket as it was too warm. 
















































And we came to the end of the tour, ending with a cider in the Green Dragon Inn. Was slightly disappointed by the tour tbh, felt it was much smaller than expected. There was a new Bagshot Row under construction and we were unfortunately 1 month early.

Then we left the Matamata area.
