Italy Trip 2024 Day 5 Part 1 ~ Pompeii, Caupona, Pompeii guided tour

Day 5 was the day we left Rome and en route to Pompeii! Took the train, think this was the second highest tier. Simple snacks.


Lunch was planned at Caupona, which has pretty good reviews! The rest of the f&b establishment near the Pompeii site seems to leech off tourists with terrible reviews.





I guessed they got good reviews due to the hospitality and unique experience!
    



Warm bread to start.

Getting back to the Pompeii site where the tour starts.



We stored our luggage inside for free after reading reviews so didn't fall for the tourist traps on the way that offers paid luggage storage!

Didnt expect the compound to be this big.
