New Zealand Trip 2022 Day 4 ~ Blenheim Bike2Wine

One of the days when we woke up slightly later since the Bike2Wine only opens at 10am. We came down to the dining room and spent some time taking photos in daylight around the B&B.

Dining room.

Breakfast before cycling.

Bichon! Rishma (Owner of the B&B) has a bichon~

Took some photos at the entrance too.

Breakfast! More than sufficient, but found the bacon slightly too salty to have on it's own.

Thereafter, we checked out and set off to collect our bikes! We picked up the tandem bike, got fitted to a helmet, and set off.

We started cycling and almost reaching the first winery and decided to double-back to get our insta360 LOL.

After that, we set off to our lunch appointment at Wairau River Wines Restaurant to check if we can shift our lunch appointment. Luckily we managed to do so, despite it was a very busy long weekend.

After changing our lunch timing, we went back to check out the other wineries.

Forrest - where we came back for wine and cheese.

Chill vibes with beanbags. #iwanttobeback

Framingham Wines~

And finally back here for lunch! Really liked the vibes! And the weather.

Food took a while to come so off we go for some photo taking!
Clear blue sky ~

The wines.

Beef cheek with some curry sauce which was yums.

Chilli salt prawns which were nice too!

We skipped desserts and decided to save space for the next place - Forrest!
Wines with cheeseboard~

Really like and miss the relaxing vibes.

Thereafter, we continued biking around. Lots of cherry blossoms!

The famed Cloudy Bay. Unfortunately, they were closed by the time we arrived.

We then returned the bike and continued out journey towards Kaiteriteri for our Abel Tasman day tour.

Took a photo of this as it was the first traffic lights we saw after 4 days! LOL.

We planned to have dinner here at The Smoking Barrel which has awesome bombos. But unfortunately, they chose to close early on that particular day :(
So we decided to just get food from supermarket and have instant noodles for dinner.

So we drove all the way to our apartment.. And though the room is pretty nice, the room lock wasn't working and they can't seem to solve it. So we had to make a last min booking nearby and drove back and further away from Abel Tasman to spend the night.

By the time we arrived at Eden's Edge Lodge, it was pretty dark so we just have a quick dinner which we didn't even take a photo of. But we had instant noodles, salmon and some salad and prepared out lunch for the day trip.
That's the end of day 4!
