New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 6 Part 2 ~ Blue Spring, Redwoods Treewalk

After the Hobbiton tour, we stopped by Tirau for a break.
As the weather was very warm, we had a gelato stop.

One Road Ice Cream Company - rated 4.9 on Google!

Cute i-site.

Relaxing gelato break.

The famed Blue Spring.

The start of the trail was pretty crowded but as we walked deeper in, it got much less crowded. Perhaps most people just turned back halfway.

Just spamming photos along the way.

Water so clear and so blue~

After Blue Spring, we started the drive to Rotorua, stopped by Pak'nSave for stock up on snacks and breakfast for the next few days.

Checking in to our accommodation for the next 3 nights - Aura Accommodation

Our first dinner in Rotorua at Urbano Bistro Cafe & Restaurant, which was pretty busy. Think it was a full house, thankfully, we made reservations for almost all of our dinners.

2 house white to start.

Pork belly crackling with floss, but was removed from the Nov menu.

Urbano Chowder
Coconut lime seafood chowder/ciabatta

Pork Tenderloin with risotto, which was also removed in Nov.

After dinner, we headed to Redwoods Treewalk Nightlights.

We arrived early, in accordance to the instructions but was just asked to wait around. -.-
But thankfully, we paid for the timed entry which saved us so much time queuing. The queue was pretty long and glad we could wait indoors in the shop.

Finally our turn and we walked up the ramp.

Spamming the photos of the nightlights.

Wasn't easy

After this, it was already quite late so we headed back straight and rested for the day. But before sleeping, we had some B&J since we were there for 3 nights. My favorite flavor combi of PB and chocolate. Squish likes it too!

 That's all for day 6!
