Drove down to Pancake Rocks and when we first started the walk, it wasn't raining yet though the sky was really dark and gloomy.
The famed Pancake Rocks.
Pretty fierce waves, which causes the pancake effects.
We were feeling slightly hungry but the pancake cafe wasn't highly rated, so we decided to head to Monteith's Brewery at Greymouth. I had noted that place but thought we may not have time so I did not include it in the plan. Since we had some time, we decided to visit.
Fireplace.
Got their Apple Cider, Garlic & Chilli Prawns and fries, and Gooey Fudge Brownie, made with Whittaker’s choco with ice cream!
Thereafter, we continued our journey to Hotikita Gorge. Turkey kept saying NZ is so big that the journey from Hokitika town centre is 33km to the Gorge. Lol.
So turquoise and clear.
After we were done exploring the gorge, we drove back to the Town Centre.
We visited the supermarket and I can't help but take a photo of how cheap ciders are there. This is more expensive than 4 ciders in SG when they're on promotion.
Decided on Korath Thai Cuisine which was pretty highly rated!
Prawn toast.
Chicken satay skewers, which used breast fillet.
Pork Belly Panang Curry.
After dinner, we went back to the Amberlea B&B. Again we were the only guest that day so we pretty much had the shared space to ourselves! Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the room and shared space.
