New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 7 Part 1 ~ Rainbow Mountain, Kaituna Cascades

Day 7 started with light breakfast in room.


After breakfast, we headed to our first hike of the trip - Rainbow Mountain.




The low effort high reward hike lol. Just 500m from the trailhead.

Rolling hills~ Which is pretty uniquely North. South is more of mountains and lakes.












After the hike, it was time for lunch. Found this place which is quite highly rated near our next stop for Kaituna Cascades.






The cafe was pretty empty as it was a weekday. But one thing I didn't like was the natural toilet lol. Thought the toilet here would be cleaner than at Kaituna Cascade so decided to go but the toilet there was actually pretty clean!


Had some time before our tour so we went to the Okere Falls walk first. 







We gotta see the falls that was gonna flip us over lol.








After this, we headed over to our first white water rafting experience!


No photos as they had photographers to help us take photos and I just look so unglam lol. We got the photos as it was part of the package we paid for.

After the white water rafting, we were pretty tired and set off back to the central area of Rotorua.
