Continuing on the rainy day in Florence. When the rain finally stopped, we decided to visit the Boboli Gardens. It was quite late and close to the last entry time.

Kinda reminds me of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.

Heading to our next stop, crossing the Ponte Vecchio.

Next stop is the Biblioteca delle Oblate. The rooftop cafe supposedly have a good view of the Cathedral Dome.

Dinner at Antico Ristorante Paoli 1827.

Think this was some truffle cream dish.

Fried fish.

Ending off the day with a stroll back hotel!

Really impressed by how nicely furnished the Dome is. Spent some time exploring the done and the surrounding area. Made hot tea to bring to go with us. V clear sky and windy, I had to grab on to my hair lol. Thereafter, we drove to Wanaka Town Centre to walk around. It was still a weekend, and stark contrast to the bustling Queenstown. Got really windy so here's my beannie! Back at Kika again! Worthy to the 2 chefs hats. Kika Fried Chicken, tomato sugo, paprika and basil powder Charred asparagus, pumpkin seed butter, pinenut gremolata Wine and kombucha for me since I was starting to cough :( Cloudy Bay clams which were really good and meaty! Whole market trout. Enjoyed our meal a lot but as we started late at 8pm, we got back really late. We managed to start the fire in the room and it was really nice though it is electric. Italy Trip 2024 Day 2 Part 2 ~ Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel

Walking back to the main area after brunch and the queue was crazy. Our next stop was the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. It was a bit of a walk and while walking towards the entrance, there was a snaking queue for those who did not purchase tickets online. We had pre-booked our tours so we just walked past everyone and got to the entrance to wait for our entry time. Initially, I joined the queue, unsure what the queue was for and how long it was, while Turkey went ahead to check it out. Thankfully, we didn't have to queue as the family who was queuing in front of my was still in the queue when we left the Chapel 3 hours later. Some photos of the Vatican Museums. New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 17 Part 1 ~ Kepler Track, Luxmore Hut

Woke up to the call from Southern Helicopters that the weather isn't the best and they had to cancel the original trip. But they can offer to fly us straight up to Kepler at a later time slot. Since this is our second try, we decided to just go for it. After we confirmed the trip, we checked out and set off for breakfast. We finally made it to Miles Better Pies. Had 2 pies, Satay and Steak & mushrooms, with a shortbread. We parked along the lake front and took some photos on the way to the waiting area. We waited 2 hours here as they were waiting for the clouds to clear. But we were just waiting without knowing when exactly we could fly. Finally the heli is here! And I was assigned to the front seat, which I believe is by weight, since it is the only thing they asked for lol. The whole journey felt really smooth. Definitely not scary like how YJS and LKS made it to be lol. After a short flight, we arrived at the Luxmore Hut. Bye heli, thanks for saving us energy. Checked...
