Continuing on the TAC, as we descend to the emerald-coloured lakes, we got better visibility.















Fog coming back in.













Struggling to keep my eyes open again lol.



Took a break here before starting the descend and the rain started..









Got really cold due to the rain and wind I had to wear my gloves as I felt my fingers freezing.










The neverending zig-zag way down for 2 plus hours ><

Finally! We managed to catch the 3pm shuttle back. 



Knocked out on the shuttle which took more than 30 mins. After we were dropped off at the accommodation, we changed out and set out our wet clothings and shoes to dry in the drying room. Since we ended early, we squeezed in one easy walk not far from dinner.

Went to Ohakune for dinner.



Had dinner at Osteria Ohakune, which is another branch of the one we had at Matamata.



We had the starter version but it was more like a main lol
GAMBA 
pan-fried prawn cutlets, lemon, crema
sauce, aborio


Having this again as we liked it at the Matamata outlet. But this wasn't as good. 

SPAGHETTI 'gamberi' pan-fried prawns, garlic, chilli, lemon, olive oil


And we had the market fish.
