Continuing to explore the Pukekura Park. 








After exploring the park, we went to top up petrol and stopped by a scenic viewpoint along the coast.

After that, we checked in to our hotel - One Burgess Hill. Stopped by the restaurant, Quails Nest Eatery.

After dropping our stuff, we set off for the Lake Mangamahoe Lookout for the iconic Mount Taranaki view.


Again... Expectation..


Vs reality. Just no luck with Mt Taranaki.











Going to another viewpoint, and expecting to see this.


But again, it is nowhere to be seen.



After the disappointing walk, we headed back to the hotel.
Where we were going to have dinner, but too early for it lol.








So we decided to walk around and explore the hotel premise, but ended up getting lost lol. Or rather, couldnt find our way out lol. 





Finally got out for dinner! My reserved table was indoors but turkey wanted to sit outdoors, since we hardly get a chance to do so in SG since it is so warm. But as the heater wasnt working, we ended up shifting back indoors lol.


Wine to start, as usual. 


Salt and Pepper Squid 
Rice flour coated squid tossed in salt and pepper seasoning, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil,
crispy shallots and garlic served with mixed salad leaves. 


Fresh Pan Fried Fish 
With house-cut fries, red pepper hummus, tartare sauce served with mixed leaves and
seasonal vegetable salad


Taco (2x6 inch)
Raglan coconut yoghurt, avocado, red pepper hummus, pickled red onion and mixed salad
leaves with  Buttermilk citrus pepper fried chicken


Cant remember what dessert this is but it was a special, think it was some peanut butter creme brulee of sorts.
