At the peak of Isthumus Peak.
Still very cloudy, but at least able to view the lake.
And the fog gradually made it's way back.
Soon, the view was almost entirely foggy.
It started raining again so we decided to head back down.
Rain getting heavier.
Totally cui hair. We stopped by for a short break while Turkey flew drone.
Getting back down, while the rain stopped.
Welcome back to land, and looking tired.
Drove back to the town centre. Took some photos and chased the famous Wanaka Tree before dinner.

This time we went to the Tititea Steakhouse. Tititea is the Maori name of Mount Aspiring. We had intended to visit the day before but the kitchen closed when we arrived.
We started with the Salt & Pepper Squid.
Chilli salt, housemade harissa, preserved lemon
Wakanui Eye Fillet with a side of mushrooms.

After dinner, we took some photos along the lake before driving back to the hotel. This was Lake Wanaka at 8:30pm, still bright!
We then headed back to the hotel and ended the day with the hot tub in hotel! Soaked for an hour before heading back to rest. What a tiring first hiking day!
