It was a long drive to the next stop at Martinborough and we stopped by midway for a quick stretch.

After that, we continued our drive to our accommodation at Martinborough, Swan House.

Very cosy room.

We waited right outside Swan House to be picked up for dinner at Tirohana Estate.

Welcome drink was Sauvignon Squeeze.

Came out to take some photos while waiting for food and before the sun sets.

Very affordable dinner with wine pairing

What's dinner at a winery without wine right? We went with wine pairing since there is no need to drive after eating!

Our choice of Entree - Smoked Salmon Mousse on crostini, pickled radish

Twice Baked Cheese Souffle, tomato chilli jam and Lavash cracker

Wine with our mains, both reds.

Our mains - Roasted Beef Sirloin served with Red Wine Jus and Truffle & Whiskey Butter

Shank of Lamb served on a rich mashed potato with salsa verde

After our mains, we came out again for a walk as the portions were generous lol.

Back to continue our meal.

Our dessert of choice - Chocolate Torte served with mint chocolate ice cream

Signature Spiced Pumpkin Bread & Butter Pudding served with Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

Back from our much awaited Korea Trip! And having so many (three to be exact) travelogues to go, I decided to work on this Korea trip travelogue first then going back to Bangkok, Switzerland and London since the memory is still fresh and with so many photos which makes it very messy and difficult to tidy up. Paid about SGD750 for round trip plus a domestic flight from Gimpo to Yeosu. Korea Trip June 2017 Day 4 Part 3 ~ emart, Shinsegae, U Square

So we just went back to the U Square area to explore! Alighted near emart. The most hip Korean star then was Gong Yoo! Goblin! Across the street. So many adverts lol. We entered from the Shinsegae side! Maserati event! We went to the basement first! Food~ The ready to eat section! Kimbap! Spotted my Hoddeok and got it! But it's not the type I like again :( Osulloc! I want the Swiss Roll~~ Love their bakeries! The cakes~ Then we explored their supermarket! Exp watermelons haha. Frozen durian! Lots of banchans~ Chips! Different types of nuts. Then we crossed over to the fashion side! The designs are all pretty similar cross different local brands. Tate! And it was time for lunch at Mudbrick! Pretty nice restaurant and the dishes were quite well balalnced. We asked for warm water and they served us with lemons! Amuse Bouche. Our view of the vineyard over lunch. We went with the 3 course menu Starting with: Scallop Crudo PISTACHIO CREAM, KOJI ICE CREAM, PARSNIP Seared Pork Loin BLACK GARLIC, ROASTED YEAST, LEEK Our mains. Prime Steer Eye Fillet MUSHROOM BEIGNET, BEEF CHEEK ROULADE, OX TOUNGE, SQUID INK HAURAKI GULF CATCH Dashi Buerre Blanc, Tobiko, Paua Saucission, Celeriac, Lionsmane Our choice of red and white to pair with our mains. We chose not to go with the wine pairing since we planned to do wine tasting later that day.
