New Zealand Trip 2022 Day 11 Part 1 ~ Cardrona Hotel, Lake Hayes, Akarua Wines & Kitchen By Artisan, Queenstown

Day 11, we checked out of Archway and continue the drive towards Queenstown. First stop was the iconic Cardrona Hotel for some photos. 











Continued the drive and stopped by a scenic spot for more photos. Recalled being very windy here.




Thereafter, was a windy drive down the slope and we stopped by Amisfield Winery for some photos before they opened for business lol. 











Then we stopped by Lake Hayes for some photos.



Looks very cloudy again..





But we caught a rainbow!

And it's time for breakfast at a winery - Akarua Wines & Kitchen By Artisan

Having coffee instead of wine at a winery lol. 








We stopped by Shotover River for some photos before heading over the Queenstown city centre.









Another stopover at Frankton area.









Arriving at the town centre! We were supposed to be there for the Shotover River Jet but it was cancelled due to the heavy rain the day before and we did not receive the notification. So we waited for almost 30 mins before finding that out.





Disappointed and not knowing what to do to pass time, we walked around the lakefront. 










And we decided to sign up for an alternative jetboat ride.

We just walked around to explore the Queenstown town centre while waiting for the jetboat ride.



















Had the famous Ferg Burger since there was not much queue and to find out what the hyper was about.


Just had one to share since we already have a filling breakfast.


























Since we had quite some time to spare, we walked over to the Queenstown Gardens. 















Decided to head back towards the meeting point but not before 2 scoops of Patagonia ice cream to cool ourselves done first!
