New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 15 Part 2 ~ Moy Hall, Mount Victoria, Wellington Waterfront Walk, Ramada by Wyndham Wellington Taranaki Street, Ombra
Second winery of the day - Moy Hall where we will be having lunch.
Taking photos outside before entering for lunch.
Nice outdoor seating area.
Came indoor and picked a seat near the fireplace.
Having wine alone as turkey is driving after.
Seafood stew with rice
Duck leg confit.
Tiramisu for the birthday boy!
Post lunch, we walked back towards Ata Rangi where we left the car.
We drove back to the town centre to have a short walk.
After that, we started the drive down to Wellington. Our first stop was the Mount Victoria.
Gloomy Wellington.
Unfortunately, we didn't get good view in Wellington as it was rainy and gloomy throughout when we were there, right up to the moment we flew out of Wellington.
Then we went to the Mount Victoria Park for the filming location of Hobbit's Hideaway.
Which wasn't that easy to find and a little underwhelming lol.
Trying to look normal/ natural lol.
Next stop was the Wellington Waterfront Walk. Just walking around the waterfront.
Iconic sign.
Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, which was closed by the time we arrived.
Since we were early, we decided to check in to hotel first since we have quite some packing to do for the flight next day.
Pretty spacious room thankfully!
Free laundry! Put the clothes in to wash while we have dinner and put it in the dryer after we were back.
After settling our belonging in the hotel, we set off for dinner at Ombra. Our table wasn't ready and the manager/ owner offered us a free cocktail. However, we did not wait long for the table.
Broccolini with cashew and Friarelli (Broccoli rabe)
Risotto – slow-cooked duck, mascarpone
Pan Fried Market fish, capers, french beans
After dinner, we went back to the hotel to wash up and pack up. Spent quite some time to pack up before retiring for the night.
