Finally it's our turn for holidays! Will be MIA for a while again while we manage Gelato on our first trip. Hopefully all goes well!

I was coughing pretty badly but didnt want to miss the last hike so decided to just continue with it. 
It was really hot and sunny when we arrived.






We decided to just walk for 30 - 45 mins and turned back, which as always, did not happen lol.









Hiking in the sun/ good weather is better than in the rain!

 











We kinda got a little lost due to the lack of signage but somehow found our way back.














































And we survived our last hike in the sun lol.

After the hike, we went for dinner at Twenty Seven Steps. This time we were there on Tue and have many more dinner options. 

Contemplating whether to have wine, but since it is the last dinner, I decided to just go for it. LOL.

Dill cured Akaroa Salmon
beetroot & potato cake, horseradish crème fraiche

pan-fried fish of the night, saffron poached potato fondant, baby pea puree, tartare hollandaise, ras el hanout crumb, organic leaves


Canterbury beef fillet
200g Aged Canterbury beef fillet, potato & pickled walnut terrine, pink & green peppercorn butter, spring veg, red onion rings, beef jus


Dessert - Dark chocolate & hazelnut torte
crème fraiche ice cream


The famed hipster New Regent Street which we somehow missed the last trip. 





Last hotel of the night was at Best Western, which was away from the main city area but since we are already leaving, we preferred somewhere with free parking. But we had issues with the parking due to how full the car park was. We were attracted by the photo of the balcony but it was so tiny we didn't even step out lol.





Spent quite a bit of time packing up and I didn't slp well cos I was coughing so badly. That's all for day 23!
