New Zealand Trip 2023 Day 22 ~ Cross Hill, Lake Tekapo, The Church of the Good Shepherd, Skyblue Tekapo, Tekapo Springs, Mt John Summit Circuit Track

Day 22 was a relaxing day post-hike day.
Starting the day with breakfast ath Cross Hill.
Coffee with granola.



Cooked breakfast.



After breakfast, we checked out and started the drive to Lake Tekapo, the common stopover to bring us back to CHC. 
Drive took about 3 hours and our first stop was The Better Batter which turkey was the most excited about.







The initial plan was to eat by the lake but the wind was far too strong so we just ate in the car. Even the seagulls were struggling to fly lol.
It was good but pretty heaty and turkey felt it straight away.


After the light lunch, we went to the main side to walk around.

Crossed the bridge towards the Church of the Good Shepherd, but the bridge was super windy.









More lupins this time round.




We then checked in to our accommodation in Lake Tekapo - Skyblue Tekapo








After that, we went for our slot at Tekapo Springs. It was smaller than the Hanmer Spring one with only 3 main pools, so we just alternate around for about an hr plus.




Not many photos since we're just soaking.



We saw people walking/ hiking up so we decided to check it out after we were done soaking.

Dinner at TLV Restaurant & Bar.


As usual, wine over dinner, though I was already coughing.


Harissa Crumbed Salmon, sliced potato, Spiced Orange sauce (Served medium rare)



Eye Fillet, Carrots, Bacon, Peas
